WARNING! TRUTH SETS YOU FREE
Have you ever wondered? The Bible is known to speaking to the individual reader; many interpetations can come from reading the same verse or scripture. I pose the question as to what exactly did God mean by the statement and the truth will set you free?
I believe and I welcome comments and others to join the inquiry as we look into the question and the statement as to what was truly meant by and the truth will set you free.
I personally believe the Bible and all of its stories and Gospels. As a Christian like most was brought up to believe in the word of God. I went to church, read my Bible, and was a good person not totally free of sin{but who is}though I was baptized receiving Jesus, as Lord and savior.
However, as I grow older, living in a world of total chaos and sin I must reflect. I believe when we get to a season on our life when everything of the world does not hold the same value or importance in our life we grow deeper in wisdom by the word to be free is to know that everything in this world that once gave us drive or purpose means less and the word of God means more. It is received easier with a clarity and a will to know more and embrace more of God’s word that holds factual truth.
Take for instance when we lose a loved one we can’t save their life we all have an appointment with death; However we can give them life through the word of God
Our relationship go through ups and downs; However our relationship with God may waver from time to time but God never changes he is the same today tomorrow and forever more
People reject us, leave us. abandon us but God is with us and never forsakes us.
The philosophy behind forgiveness holds such truth; when we forgive we gain back our power from offense
When we trust in Jesus, we see through faith answered prayers.
I can go on but through reflection you too could probably come up with some truths yourself.
My point is knowing the Bible being inspired word of God, we can see that how and what is meant by how truth will set you free is not just a passing statement being the actual word of God or even God himself as spoke in Genesis that he himself is truth offered in knowledge which brings freedom and truth.
