Have you ever wondered where music truly came from? Though many authors have penned their theories, one who has really had a true life experience in the art of music can better explain its birth into a world that is consumed with a variety of sounds and melodies that rule our everyday life through the media and entertainment industries. If you are a God fearing Bible reading individual then you many very well be more prone

to accept my theory based on facts given from the Holy Bible and my personal studies of music from childhood throughout my life as a professional songwriter and teacher.

Who Was Lucifer?

In the world’s dawn God created the heavens and the Earth on the second day and on the very same day God created the Angels Dark Angels and Cherubim and these Heavenly creatures would inhabit the heavens and Angels Gabriel, and Michael were among these magnificent beings but there was yet another entity who stood out due to his beauty and splendor known as Lucifer. Once the most important creature God has ever created but although he had so many qualities or perhaps due to that fact Lucifer was taken by his pride this would be the vice that leads to his arrogance, vanity, endless haughtiness, and to one of the seven deadliest sins.

The proud Lucifer considered himself to be so perfect that he decided to create his own throne. That he thought would stand above God since he wished to be like God to accomplish his plan he must turn the other Angels around him against God with his lies and deception causing one third of the angels to rebel in a battle for heaven but Lucifer encountered an outstanding opponent Archangel Michael, who commanded the heavenly God loving angels against Lucifer, and the fallen angels. But Lucifer turned himself into a mighty dragon causing Archangel Michael to wield his heavenly sword, taking down the evil one and his fallen troops banished from heaven. The dark Angels fell on the Earth but Lucifer endured even greater punishment once the most beautiful angel was now transformed into the heinous Satan.

Lucifer, and his Fallen Angels started to live in hell but although defeated Satan still wanted to avenge himself against his creator he decided to attack his greatest creation Humanity itself which has been created in the image and likeness of God a surface shaped Satan. (shapeshifter) entered the Garden of Eden and convinced the innocent Eve, tempting and causing her to eat from the forbidden tree. The Tree of Knowledge.

Lucifer now has concatenated the original sin which caused Adam and Eve to be driven out of paradise all his efforts to alienate man from God.

The Fallen Angel rejected God’s grace and therefore will spend eternity trying to destroy God’s work and desire for mankind. But, because of the lack of knowledge people have fallen away from God their creator.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4–6 KJV

Now don’t you find it interesting that the “Fallen One’ would want to destroy God’s work?

For those of you who are Bible readers and know this story you then understand that Lucifer, now Satan was made beautiful and had many jewels that reflected his beauty but he also had musical instruments installed within him.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. (Ezekiel 28:13–14)

Some commentators say the tabrets and pipes are “the sockets and grooves used as the settings for the precious stones”, but most every other place these words are used in the Bible they are referring to musical instruments.

Other verse can be found in:

Tabret Genesis 31:27 1 Samuel 10: Job 17:6 Isaiah 5:12 Isaiah 24 30:330: Jeremiah 31:4

Ezekiel 28:13

Pipes 1 Samuel 10 :5 1 Kings 1:40 Isaiah 5:12 IIsaiah 30:29 Jeremiah 48:36 Ezekiel 28:13 Matthew 11:1 Luke 7:3 1 Corinthians 14:7 Revelation 18:22

The exception with the pipes would be two verses in Zechariah which talk about the lamp stand. Zechariah 4:2 Zechariah 4:12

So would it be fair to say his primary job in heaven would be as a music director?

The tabrets and pipes in Ezekiel 28:13–14 Refers to musical instruments, satan was created for worship and certainly has musical abilities, refer to the scriptures to back this up

Isaiah 14:11–12

“Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols [stringed instruments]: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

We only have to look around us at the music industry and its “Rock and Pop stars” to see how much of an influence satan has on music and its corruption, it is most certainly one of the devils strongest tools to corrupt the Word of God and influence the lost away from Godliness and to place strongholds on them via music.

Consider this: It also sounds as though Lucifer was created as an organic organ. A living musical instrument. The tabrets and pipes were IN him.

When he fell, perhaps his musical ability was disfigured and hindered, and that is why we have rock and roll and heavy metal and rap music, because it is the sounds that the devil produces from his corrupted body.

That’s right, man has only one windpipe, Lucifer had multiple “pipes” created in him, as well as multiple tabrets (small drums/timbrels).

Hymn singing was practiced by Jesus and his disciples (Matt. 26:30). The Apostle Paul instructed the Colossians, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. This scripture hints that the practice in heaven was to glorify the name God which would indicate the highest of praise. So music was created in Lucifer as the Director of music to perform and direct angels to glorify the name of God with music hymns, songs.

So can we then say when Lucifer fell he brought with him musical gifts that are being used to influence humanity?

Can we now discuss lyrics?

The Bible teaches us that what we speak has life. Coming from scripture then we must understand we are manifesting our very own personality, society and even our world.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.Scripture declares that life and death are in the power of the tongue. What we speak we shall have, therefore, manifesting the words we are speaking to ourselves or others.

Words are incredibly powerful. Believe it or not but words can build up, bless, curse, encourage, and motivate or they can also tear down, hurt, and cause horrible scars.

Proverbs 15:4 — A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, but a pervasive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit.

Today, make your mouth a fountain of life and not death. Be slow to speak and swift to hear. Seek opportunities to speak kind, tenderhearted words that build up and not tear down. Encourage more and criticize less.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, that it may give grace to the listeners.

What are you speaking? Are the words you speak producing life or death? Are you building up or tearing down? Are you giving hope or discouragement?

Let today be the day that you purpose in your heart that you will be a person whose mouth is full of life and not death by refraining from attack words.

Remember, life and death is in the power of the tongue and those that love it shall eat its fruit. Sweet or bitter fruit? Which are you eating and sharing?

This is so important for our entertainers and artists to understand choosing lyrics so we can paint a song beautifully.

Let;s consider the music today, violent, offensive, promoting hatred, who are we influencing the most? If you answered our youth then you know the importance because they are representing our future. What they learn today will become the foundation for tomorrow.

You can tell a lot about a person from the music they listen to. Think about it: if all you know about someone is that she listens to death metal, what kind of character image have you already created in your mind? What about if you know she listens to jazz? Pop? Soul?

Actors and writers can use this to their advantage when developing a character, but for them, the process is reversed.

For every scene, each main character usually has his or her own theme that portrays or hints at their personality. Through this music, we try to add subtext to a performance in a subtle yet powerful way. A technique often used is to understand the character you’re going to play. Really get into the kind of person he/she is; understand their points of view of the world. Are they strong and confident? Weak and insecure? Do they have social battles they’re constantly fighting? Where do they stand in society and their circle? In their family? Then, when you’re firmly in their world, think about what kind of music they would listen to. Create a playlist for them. Listen to the songs and immerse yourself in their world, even if (or especially if) it’s music you wouldn’t normally listen to. Before you know it, you’ll be fully in their head space and the music will help you rewire your thoughts so they stem from the character’s point of view.

Knowing this we now see how music has superpowers of influence on us and society as a whole.

Music is said to be the connection to your heart…
